New Delhi: India-ASEAN Digital Work Plan 2023 has been approved at the third ASEAN Digital Ministers meeting in New Delhi yesterday,
The meeting was held at a virtual platform with the theme of “Synergy Towards a Sustainable Digital Future”, to strengthen the India-ASEAN relations in the field of Information and Communication Technologies.
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology said the work plan includes capacity building and knowledge sharing in emerging areas in the field of Information and Communication Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence in Cyber
Security.
Addressing the gathering the Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasises utilising various technological innovations to advance the nation's development.
He added that India is eager to collaborate with member states of ASEAN to advance Information and Communication Technologies in the region, aiming towards shared prosperity. The Minister also added that to support the growth of the Telecom Industry, the Indian Government has ushered in a new era of reforms to encourage investment in the Telecom sector.
