The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has announced a major organisational overhaul, appointing Nara Lokesh as the party’s Working President.
N. Chandrababu Naidu, the party’s national president, finalised the new committees after extensive consultations, keeping in mind political, social and regional equations ahead of the 2029 elections.
The party retained Palla Srinivasa Rao as the Andhra Pradesh unit president. It also appointed Kinjarapu Ram Mohan
Naidu, Byreddy Sabari and Rajesh Kilaru as national general secretaries.
The reconstituted structure includes a 20-member Politburo, a 31-member national committee and a 185-member state committee.
The national body will have three general secretaries, 18 vice-presidents and 10 spokespersons, while the state unit will comprise seven general secretaries, 16 vice-presidents, 14 spokespersons, 111 zonal coordinators, 58 executive secretaries and 77 secretaries.
