Telangana govt hike 15 pc stipend for medical students

The Telangana government enhanced the stipends of internees (House Surgeons), Post Graduate (Degree & Diploma) of Medical Colleges including those of Dental Colleges and P.G. students in Super Specialties by 15 % with effect from January 1, 2016. 

Orders to this effect were issued through G O M S No 101 on Tuesday.  It was ordered that the stipends would be enhanced once in two years with effect from 01/01/2012 and accordingly last enhancement was made with



effect from01/01/2014. 

This formula for fixing the stipend @ 15% hike once in two years shall be in force for a period of six years. As such the validity of the formula for fixation of stipend expired by 31/12/2015.

The government also accorded sanction for enhancement of stipend to the internees of MBBS / BDS, and Post Graduate (PG Degree & Diploma) and PG Dental and Super Specialty students at the enhanced rates with effect from 01/01/2016.
