Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made a pitch for the country's next Vice President to be from Telangana, specifically naming veteran politician and Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya for the position.

Reddy stated that South India needs more representation and that appointing Dattatreya would rectify the "injustice" done to Telangana and its OBC leaders by the central government.

He cited the removal of other OBC leaders from prominent posts as a reason for his demand. "To do injustice to our people, I am demanding from the NDA government because the discussion on OBC is going on very fast... So, if you make Dattatreya as the Vice President, then your crimes will be marked," he said.
Reddy also highlighted that Telugu is the second most spoken language in the country after Hindi.
