Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Rajya Sabha candidates Sana Sathish, Chintakayala Vijay and Bhashyam Ramakrishna have filed nomination on Monday.

The trio submitted their nomination papers at the Assembly premises in Amaravati in the presence of party leaders and cadres. Earlier, they paid tributes at the statue of N. T. Rama Rao at the party’s central office.

Bhashyam Ramakrishna, an educationist and head of Bhashyam Educational Institutions, has been a key supporter of the party, especially during its time in the opposition. Despite missing out on a Lok Sabha ticket from Guntur in the 2024 elections, he continued to actively contribute to party organisational activities and training programmes.

Sana

Satish, hailing from Kakinada, had earlier aspired for a Lok Sabha ticket in 2024. He was later elected to the Rajya Sabha in a by-election held after the resignation of Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao in December 2024. With his tenure limited to about one-and-a-half years, the party has decided to renominate him, keeping social equations in mind. Chintakayala Vijay has been chosen to represent backward classes and to encourage young leadership.

Though his father, Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, holds a prominent position, Vijay’s contributions to the party during its opposition phase played a key role in securing his candidature. He had also sought a Lok Sabha ticket from Anakapalle in 2024 but was not accommodated due to political considerations.
