Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami and other political leaders extended their May Day greetings, emphasising the pivotal role the labourers play in the state's progress.
In his message on Thursday, Stalin said, "Labour is a driving force that serves as a fundamental factor not only for the growth of the human race but also for its political and social evolution."
The DMK
chief recalled that a welfare board was constituted to safeguard the interests of workers, and a new scheme was introduced to provide subsidies for the purchase of new e-scooters, with an aim of enhancing the livelihoods of workers registered with the board.
Stalin assured that the DMK will forever stand as a true ally to the working class. In his greeting message, Palaniswami said, "Only hard work can elevate us and it would give satisfaction."
