Student Dies After Falling From 12th-Floor Balcony In Ghaziabad

A Class 9 student who had recently won two gold medals at the CBSE Rope Skipping National Championship allegedly died after falling from the balcony of her 12th-floor apartment in Ghaziabad’s Raj Nagar Extension late Friday night, police said on Saturday. 

The teenager was identified as 14-year-old Prachi, a resident of Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad. According to reports, Prachi had gone to the balcony of her apartment in Tower G of Rajendra Nagar Society to



collect clothes that had been put out to dry when she fell from the 12th floor.

Residents rushed to the spot after hearing a loud thud. The girl was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination and have started a preliminary investigation. 

The exact cause of the incident is not yet known. Police are also examining CCTV footage to understand what happened.
