Three Air India aircraft parked inside a hangar at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi suffered damage on Sunday due to sudden strong winds, sources said.

Further details regarding the extent of the damage are awaited. The incident comes a day after an IndiGo 6E 6283 flight operating from Bengaluru to Mumbai was delayed after suffering a bird hit, sources

said on Saturday.

Following the incident on Friday, the pilot immediately returned the aircraft to the bay for precautionary checks. Engineers inspected the aircraft and subsequently cleared it for operations.

The flight resumed its journey after a delay of more than an hour, and no injuries were reported, according to sources.
