Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde says, the state government will ensure adequate supply of seeds and fertilizers for farmers. 

Speaking to reporters after holding a review meeting ahead of the Kharif crop season, the Maharashtra Chief Minister said that banks would face action if they did not take decision in farmer’s support. The Chief Minister further said that all the departments are well prepared for the upcoming Kharif



season.

Earlier, addressing the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis instructed the State Energy Department to provide pending electricity connections immediately.

Mumbai's Meteorological Department official KS Hosalikar informed that the state will witness about 96 percent rainfall this year from June to September. As per the meteorological department's forecast, the monsoon will arrive in the state around June 9.
