State EC of Delhi prepares list of Polling Booths for upcoming MCD elections

New Delhi: The State Election Commission of Delhi has prepared a list of three thousand 356 Critical Polling Booths in view of the upcoming MCD election in Delhi. These polling booths are located at 492 locations across the city. The list has been prepared on the basis of inputs received from Delhi Police and District Election Officers.

 

In a statement, the State Election Commission said, it is making multi-layered security



arrangements at the polling stations. As an additional precaution, it is also considering webcasting facilities at most of the critical booths.

It said, the commission will also deploy drones for aerial monitoring of the surrounding areas of these hypercritical booths if the need arises. 250 wards of MCD will go to polls on the 4th of December while the counting of votes will take place on the 7th of December.
