The hundi counting process at the Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh concluded on Friday, revealing a total cash collection of Rs 4,83,22,554.
These offerings were made by devotees over a period of 33 days, spanning from March 21, 2026, to April 22, 2026. In addition to the currency notes, the offerings included 162.2 milligrams of gold and 4.18 grams of silver.
The counting also yielded various foreign currencies,
including 144 USA Dollars, 9,870 Sri Lankan Rupees, 90 UAE Dirhams, 120 Saudi Riyals, 20 British Pounds, 151 Malaysian Ringgits, 25 Australian Dollars, 30 Euros, 25 Canadian Dollars, 1 Kuwaiti Dinar, and 30 New Zealand Dollars.
The entire counting process was conducted under heavy security and constant CCTV surveillance, supervised by the temple's executive officer M. Srinivas Rao, with the participation of unit officers from various departments, supervisors, temple staff and volunteers.
