Rajasthan was reeling under extreme heat waves, which had affected normal life. Temperatures are setting new records. Yesterday, a maximum temperature of 49.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Sriganganagar, breaking all records for June in the last 35 years. The previous record was 49.1 degrees Celsius on 1st June 2018.
However, the weather changed yesterday in many places, with gusty winds and a series of storms accompanied by light rain. The weather became pleasant after the rain in
Jhunjhunu, Kotputli-Behror, Bharatpur, and Baran. There was also cloud movement in the capital, Jaipur. The Met Department has issued orange and yellow alerts for rain with strong winds in many areas today.
Light to moderate showers may occur in some places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Baran, Jhalawar, and Sikar districts. At the same time, light rain is expected in areas including Alwar, Churu, Ajmer, Dausa, Karauli, Dholpur, and Kota.
