A Special NIA Court yesterday sent 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused Tahawwur Rana to judicial custody till 6th June. Rana was produced in court for an extension of his NIA custody after his 18-day remand ended on 28th April.
Earlier, the NIA had collected voice and handwriting samples of Rana, a Pakistani-Canadian
national, to match them with recordings of his telephonic conversations with 26/11 co-accused David Coleman Headley. Rana, who was recently extradited from the US, is suspected of having passed handwritten notes to Headley containing instructions, coordinates, and maps used to scout 26/11 targets.
