The Special CBI Court in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand yesterday gave its verdict on Judge Uttam Anand's murder case. Special CBI Court Justice Rajinikanth Pathak convicted both the accused in the case, Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma under sections 302 and 201 of the IPC. 

The court will announce the quantum of sentence in the case on 6th August. It is for the first time in Jharkhand, that the CBI court has completed the trial in



just 5 months.

Justice Rajinikanth Pathak while announcing the verdict said that it is not necessary that there should be any motive or intention in every murder. 

Further, he said that if the accused knows that his actions may result in death, then there is no need for intention. On this day last year, Judge Uttam Anand was hit by an auto-rickshaw in Dhanbad, due to which he died.
