Southwest monsoon has advanced into some parts of southeast Bay of Bengal, Nicobar Islands, and South Andaman Sea yesterday. Met department said conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of south Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next three to four days.

Light to moderate widespread rainfall with thunderstorms and



lightning is very likely to continue over Northeast India during the next two days. Heavy rainfall has been forecast at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya for the next couple of days.

Meanwhile, a fresh western disturbance is likely to cause scattered to fairly widespread rainfall over northwest India during 23rd to 25th of May.
