Sonali Phogat dies in Goa, police registered Unnatural death

Sonali Phogat breathed her last on August 23. Earlier, her sister had alleged a conspiracy as she said, Sonali felt uneasy after eating her food. Now, Anjuna Police has registered a case of unnatural death. On August 23, at around 9 am, Sonali Phogat was reportedly brought dead to the hospital.

Preliminary inquiry has revealed that Sonali Phogat had come to Goa on August 22 and was staying in a hotel in Anjuna. Early this morning, she started feeling uneasy at the hotel, after which she was rushed to hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Further statements of the relevant witnesses are being recorded and Anjuna Police have written to the Department of Forensic Medicine at Goa Medical



College for appointing a panel of doctors to conduct a postmortem examination. According to reports, Sonali Phogat's autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday, August 24. Further investigation is in progress.

Sonali Phogat was last seen in Bigg Boss 14. She entered as a wildcard contestant, after which she gained immense popularity. Sonali also has a daughter who was very close to her. Sonal Phogat made her acting debut with the TV series Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma in 2016. She then appeared in a Haryanvi film, Chhoriyan Chhoron S Kam Nahi Hoti. She has been a part of several Punjabi and Haryanvi music videos. She was last seen in a web series, The Story Of Badmashgarh (2019). Sonali was also very popular on TikTok.
