Additional Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office Smita Sabharwal on Wednesday inspected the Mission Bhagiratha works at Pusur village in Wajedu mandal, on the banks of Godavari River. After inspecting the Rs 8 crore intake well, filter bed and pipeline works, she directed the officials to complete the water grid works that quench the thirst of people in Venkatapuram and Wajedu mandals at the



earliest. 
Sabharwal, who came by a special helicopter, also inspected Rs 44.5 crore water grid works at Parnasala proposed to supply drinking water to Cherla and Dummugudem mandals.  Later, she inspected the works in Aswapuram, Wyra and Konijerla mandals. Sabharwal was accompanied by Haritha Haram OSD Priyanka Varghese, District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar, ITDA Project Officer Rajiv Gandhi and other officials.
