Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a meeting in New Delhi yesterday regarding the resolution of farmers’ complaints.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare said that during the meeting, discussions were held on complaints related to fertilisers, seeds, pesticides, the PM-Crop Insurance Scheme, and PM Kisan
Portal.
Mr Chouhan stressed that definite timelines must be set for complaint resolution, ensuring that complaints are not left pending for long periods.
He also said that action on a complaint should not be closed until the farmer is completely satisfied. The Minister further instructed officials to identify states where complaints are high and action is slow.
