YS Sharmila has announced that her daughter YS Anjili Reddy's wedding will be held at a different venue instead of the Yelahanka Palace in Bengaluru, following the controversy surrounding the proposed wedding location.
Sharmila took to X to clarify that the Yelahanka property, which was earlier jointly owned by the family, was allocated entirely to her and her children as part of the family property division after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became Chief Minister.
She further stated that she had wanted to organise her daughter's wedding at the Yelahanka Palace because
it belonged to her children and was a house where her father, former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, had spent time.
Sharmila said her daughter Anjili had also wished to get married in the house where she grew up. However, expressing disappointment over not being able to fulfil her daughter's wish, she said the family did not want the wedding to take place amid disputes and arguments.
She announced that the wedding of YS Anjili Reddy and Somala Raghuram Reddy would instead be held at another venue in the presence of relatives, friends and well-wishers.
