Minister for Women and Child Welfare Department Danasari Anasuya Seethakka inaugurated the working women?s hostel ?Sakhi Nivas? and One Stop Center ?Sakhi Centre? on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills here.
Speaking on the occasion, Seethakka said the government is setting up working women?s hostels to provide safe accommodation for women coming to Hyderabad from rural areas in search of employment and job opportunities.
She informed that
accommodation facilities have been provided for about 150 women in this hostel. She stated that special facilities have been arranged so that mothers coming with young children can also stay here. Seethakka noted that the Telangana government is working with utmost priority for women?s safety, dignity, self-confidence, and economic independence.
She said some people are criticizing because they cannot tolerate women?s progress, but such criticisms do not stand before women?s power.
