The 24-hour-long counter-terrorist operation, launched in Warpora Sopore area of Jammu & Kashmir, has concluded on Friday evening with the killing of two unidentified terrorists.

Security sources said the gunfight broke out after a joint team of security forces launched cordon and search operation late last evening following input about the presence of terrorists in the Warpora area of Sopore township in Baramulla



district.

As the forces zeroed in on the suspected place, the hiding terrorists opened gunfire triggering an encounter. Arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot.
 
Security sources said the terrorists belong to Jaish e Muhammad.

IGP Srinagar, S P Pani said incremental material has been recovered from the encounter site and police has started the investigation.
