In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have busted a terror module of banned terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) at Awantipora in Pulwama district by arresting eight terrorist associates.
Police said, on specific input, several suspects were arrested and further leads were developed that resulted in the joint team of security forces to bust a terror module of terror outfit JeM operating in Awantipora. Incriminating materials including ammunition were also recovered from
their possession. A vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested terrorist associates were involved in providing shelter, logistics, and transportation of arms and ammunition to two active terrorists.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation is in progress.
