Patna: In Bihar, the second Phase of Panchayat Elections passed off peacefully. No untoward incident has been reported from any part of the state.
 
For the first time, EVMs was  used in Panchayat polls in the state. Electoral fortune of over 70 thousand candidates are sealed in EVMs.
 
An estimated 55 percent voting was recorded in



yesterdays poll. Polling was  held in 692 Gram Panchayats spread over 34 districts including Patna, Rohtash and Nalanda yesterday. 
 
Counting of votes will take place on 1st  and 2nd  of October. Three thousand 402 candidates elected unopposed. The third phase of polling will be held on October 8.
