The Supreme Court has agreed to hear next week a plea seeking imposition of Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir due to the prevailing law and order situation in the state.
A bench, headed by Chief Justice TS Thakur, gave the direction on a petition filed by Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party.
The plea had said that Jammu and



Kashmir has been under the siege of security forces and the police for the past two weeks resulting in total chaos and anarchy in the entire valley.
The court asked the petitioners why they did not approach the Jammu and Kashmir High Court for remedy. The counsel said the High Court has been locked up and they can't go anywhere else.
