The apex court on Friday directed the Telangana government and legislative council to uphold the MLC elections until the final verdict on the plea filed by Ramulu Naik.

Ramulu Naik filed a petition in Supreme Court challenging his disqualification. It may be recalled that the High Court dismissed

Ramulu Naik's plea and backed the then council chairman's Swamy Goud decision of disqualifying Ramulu Naik for being disloyal to TRS party.

Challenging the High Court's verdict, Naik filed a plea in the Supreme Court which accepted to deal with the case. The court is adjourned for two weeks.
