Sashi Tharoor gets anticipatory bail in Sunanda Pushkar's death case

Delhi court today granted anticipatory bail to Congress leader Shashi Tharoor in his wife Sunanda Pushkar's death case. The Court has directed Tharoor not to tamper with evidence and not to leave country without its prior permission.

Earlier, the Delhi Police had opposed his bail plea fearing that he might flee the



country. In his arguments before the court, Tharoor said that the SIT had categorically stated that it has completed its probe and that his custody was not required. The court had reserved its order on Wednesday.  Tharoor' wife was found dead in a Delhi hotel in January, 2014.
