Assam continues to grapple with the impact of floods, with official figures showing that around 1.55 lakh people remain affected across 13 districts. The current flood season has claimed 98 lives, adding to the scale of hardship and displacement in the state.

Raina’s donation adds to the wider effort to support those affected by the floods. Sarma said contributions of this kind provide immediate relief and also encourage broader public participation in rebuilding lives and communities.
