Days after the failed attempt of Mutiny, in Moscow, Russia's Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev spoke to National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on the latest developments in the country. Mr. Patrushev held a telephone conversation with Doval on Wednesday and informed him about the latest events in Russia and also discussed the developments as well as bilateral and multilateral ties.
According to the Council Statement, the current issues of Russian-Indian cooperation in the field
of security and the prospects for their deepening within the framework of bilateral and multilateral formats were discussed in detail. In addition, N Patrushev also informed Mr Doval about the latest events in Russia and said the interlocutors agreed to continue a confidential dialogue.
Mr. Patrushev’s call to Mr. Doval comes a week ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, which Mr. Modi will host virtually.
