Ruckus in West Bengal Assembly over Birbhum violence issue

Kolkata: BJP yesterday condemned the ruckus in the West Bengal Assembly.  Blaming the ruling TMC for the scuffle in the State Assembly on Birbhum violence, senior party leader and Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, it is an attempt to destroy democracy. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, he said, the people of the state have given their mandate to Trinamool Congress



to rectify its past mistakes, but it has failed to do so.

On the suspension of BJP legislators, party MP Locket Chatterjee alleged that the Assembly Speaker took the action against the MLAs on the direction of Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee. She claimed that five  MLAs got injured during the scuffle.
