Madhya Pradesh Police recovered Rs 85 lakh in cash from the residence of a state government clerk on Wednesday. The money was recovered during raid carried out by the Madhya Pradesh Economic Offences Wing (EOW) probing a disproportionate assets case.

The EOW officials reached the residence of Hero Keswani, a clerk in the state Medical Education Department, on Wednesday.

Meanwhile,



Hero Keswani fell ill after the EOW officials reached his residence to conduct searches. He had to be admitted to hospital for treatment. Due to ill health, the officials were unable to interrogate Hero Keswani.

Hero Keswani started the job with a salary of Rs 4,000 per month and currently earns Rs 50,000 per month.

According to EOW officials, further investigation is underway in the case.
