Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 12 noon following ruckus by Congress and TMC members. As soon as House met for the day, Congress leader B K Hariprasad, who had given adjournment motion, tried to raise the issue of political turmoil in Karnataka. Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu denied permission. TMC members were raising the issue related to disinvestment in PSUs. As noisy scene prevailed, the Chairman adjourned the House till noon minutes after it assembled.

Earlier, newly elected BJP MP Jugal Thakor took oath. Mr. Thakor has been elected form Gujarat for the Upper House.
