Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued with his Gujarat election tour from Morbi on Wednesday by tearing into the opposition camp. Modi picked ex-Prime Minister Indra Gandhi by raising her behaviour during one of her visits to Morbi.

Addressing a gathering, the Prime Minister said, "When Indira ben came to Morbi, I remember there was a photo of her in Chitralekha Magazine with a hanky over her nose due to the foul smell. But for Jansangh-RSS, the streets of Morbi are fragrant. It's the fragrance of humanity."

Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Modi said the name "Gabbar Singh Tax" coined by Rahul Gandi shows that his mentality is that of a dacoit and the Gandhi family has looted the nation for years and said that Rahul's understanding of GST was a 'Grand Stupid Thought'.

Modi drew a comparison between BJP and Congress's agenda of 'development' saying that for Congress it was just distribution of hand pumps to remove water problems in the region, whereas the BJP has brought Narmada waters to the region to solve the problem permanently.

The Prime Minister talked

about the inclusion of all in the development process, which, he said, was BJP's development model which has been successful in Morbi for all to see.

In Prachi, Modi stepped up his attack on the Congress and asked Rahul Gandhi why the Congress opposed the Indian Army fighting against the enemy at the border. Modi questioned Congress on its stand on OROP and why did the party not take a decision which has been pending for more than 40 years of Congress central rule. He also broached the topic of Rahul Gandhi meeting and hugging Chinese people amid Doklam standoff.

PM Modi also cornered the Congress on its new-found affinity with the OBCs and asked why Congress was not allowing the OBC Commission to get Constitutional Status and why did it stall it in the Rajya Sabha when the BJP got it cleared in the Lok Sabha. He further reiterated his commitment to giving OBCs their rightful dues.

Modi also targeted Rahul Gandhi on his visits to various temples and told the gathering that, had it not been for Sardar Patel, the dream of rebuilding Somnath temple would have never taken place.
