Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Tamil Nadu on Saturday morning, to interact with party office-bearers as part of its grassroots rejuvenation initiative "Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan".
The Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi is set to address panchayat-level office bearers in a venue at Chengalpattu in Chennai. Addressing reporters here on Friday, AICC general secretary and Tamil Nadu in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir and TNCC president B Manickam Tagore
said Gandhi would address office-bearers at nearby Mamallapuram on the valedictory of the 10-day training camp (July 23-August 1) for District Congress Committee presidents.
Gandhi reached Chennai by 11 am and headed straight to the party event at the seashore town here and is set to return to Delhi by 6 PM from Chennai. The training camp for the DCC presidents is an initiative aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroots under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan (SSA).
