Punjab Police nabs drug and armed smugglers; arms, narcotics recovered

In Punjab, Border Security Force and Punjab Police have nabbed 3 narco-smugglers and two gangsters in various operations in Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Jalandhar yesterday. 10 pistols and narcotics have been recovered from their possession. 6 drones have also been neutralised by the BSF in Amritsar sector.

According to sources, BSF apprehended 2 smugglers involved in cross-border smuggling along Tarn Taran and Amritsar border. Pistol parts and live ammo



have also been recovered from them.

Whereas, Punjab Police arrested a smuggler and confiscated 5 pistols from his possession when he was on his way to deliver weapons after retrieving them from near the Indo-Pak border in Amritsar.

Similarly, in Jalandhar, two active members of a notorious gang were arrested with five pistols and 10 live cartridges along with narcotics.
