Punjab govt is committed to fulfil all promises: Governor V P Singh

Punjab Governor, Mr V P Singh Badnore has said that the State government is committed to fulfil all the promises made during the Assembly elections. Addressing the first session of newly elected Punjab Assembly in Chandigarh yesterday, he said the government proposes to bring out a white paper on development, governance reforms and financial status of the state to



apprise the people of present financial situation. 

Mr Badnore said that the Government will lay major emphasis on development of horticulture and diversification of crops will be encouraged to discourage rice-wheat cropping system. He also called for a complete revamp of Police and change in attitude of law-enforcing agencies.
