Punjab Govt Arrests Its Own MLA Raman Arora in Corruption Case

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Raman Arora has been arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau in Jalandhar, yesterday.

State Vigilance Bureau officials who raided his home in Jalandhar yesterday morning are said to have found many objectionable documents during the investigation.

According to official sources, Raman Arora used to send false notices to innocent people in the name of illegal construction through Jalandhar Municipal Corporation officials.



Then he used to get those notices quashed by taking money.

Punjab Finance Minister, Harpal Singh Cheema said, the action has been taken after getting complaints of corruption against him.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said in a video message that Punjab government has zero tolerance against corruption and assured to support all those who complain against corrupt practices of the officials.
