Prominent lawyer Ram Jethmalani hospitalised

KOCHI: Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani was admitted to a private hospital here on Saturday, after he fell ill during a visit to the city.

The senior advocate had visited Kochi to attend a function organised by advocates of the Kerala High Court to honour him, on completing 75 years in the legal profession. However, the programme was cancelled



after Jethmalani fell sick.

"He was admitted to hospital for low blood pressure, and his condition is stable," said Adv Babu S Nair of the Kerala High Court. Jethmalani had arrived at 11.30 am for the programme, which was scheduled to be held at Le Meridien.

The hospital authorities declined to comment on the matter
