President Droupadi Murmu said, yesterday, that Uttar Pradesh will play an important role in making the country the third-largest economy in the world. After inaugurating the first Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, she said, the State has aimed to become a one trillion dollar economy and I hope that it will achieve the target. The five-day event is being held at the India Expo Mart in Knowledge Park of Greater Noida.
 
Praising the efforts of the State government in her address, the President said, that this trade show is exhibiting the products produced by young entrepreneurs, especially, women, and it is a good thing that the participation of women is growing in entrepreneurship but there is a need to increase this involvement. 

She remarked that more than 400 buyers from around 66 countries across the globe are taking part in the trade show. She firmly believed that this international trade show would carry forward the national and international priorities as per the goals of G20.
 
Governor of State Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with other Ministers of State government were also present during the inaugural function. Ambassadors from different



countries and many business heads participated in the event. Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh has identified its potential and now it is presenting itself as the new Uttar Pradesh of New India by converting its scale into skill. 

It has converted itself from a BIMARU State to a State leading towards prosperity in the last six years, he added. He informed that more than 70 thousand B2B, business-to-business buyers have registered themselves for the event.
 
The trade show will continue till the 25th of September. The show is expected to work as a platform for the products, specialties, cuisine, and culture of the State to get international exposure and market opportunities. So far, around 400 participants from more than 60 countries have registered for the event. 

Over 2000 exhibitors will showcase their products across a wide spectrum of sectors, including automobiles, handicrafts, healthcare, food processing, pharmaceuticals, dairy, electronics, and e-commerce. Many artisans and businessmen from different parts of the State expressed their gratitude to the government for providing such a big platform for them.
