President Murmu approves 98 bravehearts of Armed Forces for honour on 77th Republic Day

President Droupadi Murmu has approved 98 Mentioned-in-Despatches for personnel of the Armed Forces and the Border Roads Development Board (BRDB) on the eve of the 77th Republic Day. The honours include five posthumous recognitions.

Of the total, 81 awards have been approved for the Indian Army, 15 for the Indian Navy, and two posthumously for Border Roads Development Board personnel.

Among the Indian Army awards, 17 personnel have been recognised for



Operation Rakshak, 11 for Operation Snow Leopard, and 11 for Operation Hifazat. Five awards have been approved for Operation Orchid, two for Operation Meghdoot, one for Operation Rhino, and two for Operation Sindoor. Three personnel have been honoured for Rescue Operations, four for Operation Casualty Evacuation, and one for Operation Soffain.

In addition, 24 personnel have received Mentioned-in-Despatches for Miscellaneous Operations, including three posthumous awards.
