President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are scheduled to visit Odisha on June 20 to participate in celebrations marking the completion of two years of the BJP-led state government, lending significant national prominence to the occasion.
The proposed visit was formally announced by the Chief Minister?s Office (CMO) following a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja at Lok Seva Bhavan here on Tuesday.
Senior officials from various
departments attended the meeting to assess preparations and coordinate arrangements for the high-profile event.
According to official sources, the main programme will be held at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district, the hometown of President Murmu, where a massive public gathering is expected to be organised.
The President and the Prime Minister are likely to jointly address the gathering and participate in a series of events highlighting the achievements of the state government over the past two years.
