Addressing the gathering on the occasion of  Dussehra Celebrations near Red Fort in the national capital this evening, Mr Kovind said, it is the responsibility of everyone to maintain cleanliness by controlling air and sound pollutions. 

He said,  the country is facing a lot of challenges and we have to address them with patience and courage. Mr Kovind called upon the people to shun their evils and contribute to the



growth and development of the country. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the event. President and Prime Minister also witnessed the burning of effigies of demon king Ravana, his brother Kumbhakaran and son Meghnad which signifies the victory of good over evil.

On the occasion, Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and Delhi BJP Chief Manoj Tiwari were also present.
