President Kovind extends greetings to people on Bihar Divas

Bihar is celebrating its 109th foundation day today. The state was carved out from Bengal presidency on this day in 1912. The theme of this years event is 'Jal Jivan Haryali'. In view of surge of Covid-19 cases in other states, Bihar government has decided to celebrate the event on a small-scale. 

Governor Phagu Chauhan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have congratulated people on the occasion of Bihar Divas. Mr Kumar will address people of the state through



video-conferencing on this occasion.

 

President Ram Nath Kovind has extended his greetings to all especially the people of Bihar on the occasion Bihar Divas. In a tweet, Mr Kovind said,  Bihar has a heritage of the past as well as a path to the present. He said, he  had the privilege of discharging the role of Governor on this land that has been a witness to the Champaran Satyagraha of Mahatma Gandhi from the ancient republic.
