President Droupadi Murmu condoled the demise of renowned litterateur and Jnanpith awardee Vinod Kumar Shukla.
In a social media post, the President said, Mr Shukla enriched prose and poetry immensely through his intuitive and powerful compositions and his demise has caused an irreparable loss to
the literary world.

President Murmu added that the sentiment of empathy and concern for the communities and individuals left behind and becoming despondent imparts a special meaningfulness to Mr Shukla’s writing. Mr. Shukla, who was around eighty-eight years old, passed away yesterday.
