PM Modi to visit Israel on February 25-26

Tue 17 Feb 2026, 01:37:33
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Israel on February 25 and 26, sources said on Monday, marking his second trip to the country.

The announcement was first made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his address to the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations on Sunday.

"Parliament address on the anvil. Who's coming here next week? Narendra Modi," Netanyahu told the gathering, describing ties between the two nations as a "tremendous

alliance".

"Tremendous alliance between Israel and India, and we are going to discuss all sorts of cooperation. Now, you know, India is not a small country. It has 1.4 billion people. India is enormously powerful, enormously popular," he said.

PM Modi's upcoming visit will follow his landmark trip in July 2017, the first-ever by an Indian Prime Minister to the Jewish nation. That visit marked a turning point in bilateral relations, which have since broadened across several sectors.
