Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Himachal Pradesh and Punjab on Tuesday to assess the flood situation and review the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in both states.

According to officials, the Prime Minister will depart from Delhi at noon and arrive at Pathankot Airbase, from where he will travel to Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, where he will conduct an aerial survey of areas that have been affected by floods and landslides.

In Himachal, PM Modi will also chair a high-level review meeting with state authorities and interact with local residents impacted by the disaster. He will also meet personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Aapda Mitra teams working on the



ground.

Following the review in Himachal Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi will conduct an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Punjab around 3 pm. He is then scheduled to land at the Tibri Army Station in Gurdaspur at approximately 4.15 pm, where he will meet senior civil and military officials to evaluate the situation on the ground.

In Gurdaspur as well, the Prime Minister will meet those affected by the floods and interact with response teams working in the field.

Punjab is currently experiencing one of its worst floods in decades, with the death toll rising to 46 as of Saturday, officials said. Widespread flooding has also caused extensive damage to agriculture, with crops on approximately 1.75 lakh hectares of land destroyed.
