Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar today. He will address a public meeting at Jasauli under Pachrukhi block in Siwan district around 12 noon. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects related to urban development, sewage treatment, PM Awas Yojna and railways worth over 5900 crore rupees via video conferencing from Jasauli.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today gift several completed development projects to the people of Bihar at a program held in Siwan. The inauguration of STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) projects will ensure that sewage water from various residential areas of Patna and adjoining localities is treated before directly entering the Ganga River through the drainage system. This will strengthen the ‘Clean and Pure Ganga’ campaign. The Prime Minister will also flag off the export of a consignment of high-capacity locomotive engines manufactured at Marhowra Rail Factory in Saran district to the West African nation of Guinea. This marks a significant step towards the resolution of Make in India, Make for World, and the revival of Marhowra’s industrial area, which was once known for its sugar industry and
export-quality confectionery business.
The Prime Minister’s inauguration of the new railway line from Deoria to Hajipur will improve rail connectivity from Purvanchal in Uttar Pradesh to Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Muzaffarpur, and Vaishali districts. Additionally, the operation of a new Vande Bharat Express train from Patna Patliputra Junction to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh will provide high-speed rail facilities to the people of the region. There is high enthusiasm among the public regarding the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity in Bihar. BESS are being installed at 15 grid substations of the state, including Muzaffarpur, Motihari, Bettiah, Siwan, among others. The capacity of the battery to be installed in each sub-station is between 20 to 80 MWh.
The Prime Minister will also release the first instalment to more than 53,600 beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana Urban in Bihar. He will also hand over keys to a few beneficiaries to mark the Grih Pravesh Ceremony of more than 6,600 completed houses of PMAY Urban.
