New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the beneficiaries of the SVAMITVA scheme in Madhya Pradesh at 12:30 PM today via video conferencing. Mr Modi will also distribute e-property cards to one lakh 71 thousand beneficiaries under the scheme on the occasion. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also be present during the event. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually distribute the records of land rights papers to beneficiaries today under the Pradhan Mantri Swamitva Yojana. The Prime Minister will also hold virtual dialogue with the beneficiaries of Sehore, Harda and Dindori districts.

The land records papers will be distributed in 3000 villages of 19 districts as part of Jan Kalyan and Suraaj Abhiyaan of the state. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will attend the programme from



Harda. 

So far, the process of survey has been started in 42 districts of the state while 24 drones are working in 24 districts, out of which drone survey work has been completed in 6500 villages. 

SVAMITVA is a Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj which is aimed at providing property rights to the residents of rural inhabited areas. Addressing the UN General Assembly on the 25th of last month, Mr Modi had said that the scheme will pave the way for using property as a financial asset by villagers for taking loans and other financial benefits.

It is aimed at demarcating inhabited lands in rural areas through the latest surveying drone-technology. The scheme has also provided a boost to the ecosystem of drone manufacturing in the country.
