Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Gurdaspur in Punjab to take stock of the situation of the flood ravaged state. He landed here after reviewing the situation in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
Punjab Governor, Gulab Chand Kataria, Minister Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Kuldip Singh Dhaliwal and Animal Husbandry Minister, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian
welcomed him along with some BJP leaders and officials of the state government.
He will be taking a review meeting on the flood situation here and is likely to meet some flood-affected families as well. Before leaving for both the states, in a social media post, Mr Modi said the centre stands shoulder to shoulder with those affected in this tragic hour.
