PM Modi receives Norway's highest civilian honour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with Norway's highest honour, the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, during a visit to Oslo. This recognition marks the thirty-second global honour bestowed upon the Indian Prime Minister. The award was presented following a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora and a meeting with the Norwegian Prime Minister. 

This development comes just twenty-four hours after Sweden conferred its highest honour, the Royal Order of



Polar Star, upon the Indian Prime Minister. Both accolades are part of an ongoing five-nation tour that has highlighted international diplomatic relations and personal friendships. The consecutive honours from Sweden and Norway underscore the significance of the current diplomatic engagements. 

The Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit represents the highest grade of the order, adding to a growing list of international recognitions received during this tour.
