Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said he briefed Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on India's concerns in a call received by the counterpart. Besides, Netanyahu spoke to PM Modi regarding Israel's fresh conflict with Iran. Israel on Friday targeted Iran's nuclear facilities, ballistic missile factories and military commanders.

"I shared India's concerns and emphasised the need for early restoration of peace and stability in the region," a part of PM Modi's tweet read.

India earlier said it is "deeply concerned" over the recent developments between Iran and Israel and was "closely monitoring" the evolving situation. The government urged both countries to avoid any escalatory steps.

In Israel's diplomatic push to garner support amid its conflict with Iran, Netanyahu spoke to many world leaders, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel

Macron.

While Netanyahu is yet to speak to Donald Trump, the US President has already issued a stern warning to Iran, saying the country should make a deal. He said that the US makes the most lethal weapons in the world and several of them are with Israel.

Multiple sites across Iran, including its main nuclear enrichment facility and missile installations, were hit in what appeared to be the most significant attack on the country since the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s.

According to Iran's Nournews, 78 people were killed in Tehran following Israel's strikes. After its strikes, Israel said it would be a prolonged operation to prevent Tehran from building an atomic weapon.

Calling the offensive "Operation Rising Lion," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described it as a decisive moment in the country’s history, saying Israeli forces had struck at the “heart of Iran’s nuclear enrichment program”.
